Marya Harrington's twenty plus years of experience teaching has benefited hundreds of children in building their self-esteem, improving their educational acheivements, and creating a better home life. As an important part of 1Stage, we offer mentoring programs for adolescents and teens. We empower our students through drama games, role playing and improvisation in groups and privately to give them the confidence and support they need to feel supported as teens. We believe every child is unique and needs a creative outlet to release pressure and be heard. Our children become strong and confident through our mentoring programs. These programs include support groups, workshops, one-on-one sessions, community service, assistant directing, college bound resources, and behind the scenes work.

 

Many of our students need more than to be in a show or class. We have provided a safe envrionment where our children can express their emotions of becoming a teen, experiencing divorce or major changes at home, coping with ADHD, depression, anger management or other challenges Our support groups, one-on-ones, and mentoring programs have been successful in allowing our students to express themselves, while growing, learning, and improving their confidence and educational goals.
